Stela - The Solution

Technical Data

Comparative Maintenance Requirements

An achievable planned maintenance programme for Stela could involve eight or less column visits over a twenty five year service life.

Practical Performance

Where target performance from S6 to perhaps S2 may be required with conventional road geometry and column mounting heights, considerations of column spacing, uniformity, energy consumption per km or energy consumption per Lux per metre2 (W/Lux/m2), show Stela to be comparable or in many cases best in class for residential roads.

Point for Point Replacement

With a 76mm post top mounting as standard and optimised photometric design, Stela offers the opportunity to upgrade existing lighting installations to sustainable white light rather than renew like for like.

Eco Design

Stela is manufactured using a large proportion of recycled materials, especially steel and aluminium, and has an aluminium low profile aerodynamic housing. The lumen depreciation of Stela compared to the electrical energy wasted through over illumination with an HID source can be reduced by approximately 30%.

Life Expectancy

The service life of each LED is designed to be 100,000 hours at a lumen depreciation of 30%.

Driver

The lifetime of any driver is designed with an objective of achieving 50,000 hours at a case temperature of 90° C maximum. However, with Stela the actual case temperature is well below this value. Therefore the service life of the complete lantern, if the driver is exchanged once during its lifetime, is anticipated to be 100,000 hours.
