Recycling

Stela LED street lights are manufactured using a large proportion of recycled materials, especially steel and aluminium.

Stela is currently 98% recyclable by mass.

This breaks down as follows:

  • The aluminium housing is manufactured using a high proportion of recycled alloy
  • The steel gear tray and stainless steel fixing screws can also be recycled
  • The lenses are acrylic lenses and can be recycled
  • Subject to the requirements of the WEEE directive, the majority of the electronic driver can be recycled, which avoids the need for incineration
