Obtrusive Light or Light Spill
A popular complaint from home owners is related to light spill into bedrooms, which resulted in disturbed sleep. Stela is designed so that light is directed only where it is needed - on footpaths and roads.
Stela LED street lights use clusters of light sources that illuminate the target zone on the ground. This provides a layered lighting effect to ensure high levels of uniformity and no dark spots.
The lens system that controls the light distribution also provides a precise “cut off” to the front and the rear of the lighting column. This minimises the risk of light spilling into windows as this could be deemed a nuisance and hence reduces the likelihood of complaints from members of the public.
